Re: Engraving looks jagged

Check everything is secure - the older 3020 had nylon wheels running under the carriage, make sure they are ok. Check the lens and mirrors aren't moving as well.

Does it do it on slower speeds?

You could try spraying with furniture polish - I didn't find it worked for what I wanted but it may work in your situation.

Re: HPC 3020

Re-set the emergency stop button a couple of times just in case.

Re: Double lines ?

Is the beam centred in the air assist nozzle? Put tape on the bottom and do a test - it may be hitting the side.

Try application tape - it is a thin paper tape available in different widths ;)

Re: Suppressing Stains on Light coloured Perspex

No problems. Yes fire is a big risk on small cuts! Do you take the covering off the material - wonder if that contaminates the cut? I can't say I've noticed much of a difference in colour. Can try it on mine using Amari stock (Perspex don't seem to like smaller companies so gave up using them!). I h...

Re: Suppressing Stains on Light coloured Perspex

Hi James, Are you using Perspex branded acrylic? I find the cheaper acrylics tend to do this but the Perspex or Amari brands are better (not sure if as good as you need though). On a 60w tube I would say 75% is a bit high - I tend to cut about 20mm/s at 62 so wroth making sure your focus and mirrors...

Re: LS3020 failure

I honestly don't know - it is so long since I had a 3020 I can't remember.
From memory you can adjust the location of the head in the software. Also maybe worth making sure you have the motors connected correctly and not swapped round.

Re: LS3020 failure

If it is a Lasercut version it sounds like you need to download the config file to the new board.

Re: mirror alignment help!

I would check how well centred the beam is hitting the entry hole in the head in each corner of the table and adjust as necessary then check the beam is exiting the nozzle in the centre and adjust.

It can be tricky to get just right but you can do it ;)
