Newlydraw dongle advice

My machine is a LS3020 running Newlydraw software on a win98 pc. It has been out of use for some time for a repair, and now it is ready to test, I seem to have mislaid the dongle for the software. I need to work out how to proceed. The first thought is whether there is a market in secondhand dongles...

Re: LS3020 failure

If it is a Lasercut version it sounds like you need to download the config file to the new board. Best Dave Thanks, it's a Newlydraw version. I did wonder whether the SD card went with the board or machine, but as the replacement board came with it already fitted I have not swapped them. Or is the ...

Re: LS3020 failure

A delayed followup to this. I bought a replcement motherboard, and now have a different issue. When the machine is turned on, there is a pause and the head moves left until it hits the stops, but the motor keeps on running. There is no Y axis movement. Any ideas before I bother technical support aga...

Re: LS3020 failure

OK, I thought it might be worth asking in case I had missed anything I ought to mention. I'll call HPC for advice.

Thanks

LS3020 failure

After a few years of light use, my LS3020 has failed. The problem appeared to start with intermittent connectivity with the pc. A replacement usb socket sorted things out for a while, but I found the cable too easy to knock, so that didn't last long. A second replacement socket helped some, but prov...

3020 water connections

Please could someone tell me which water pipe is which on the LS320? I know the return should be cut at a slant, but I pinched a bit of that tube, (and stupidly cut it straight), as sleeving for the joint when I replaced the PSU. So should the water inlet to the laser tube be at the left where the b...

Re: ls3020 cutting failure

The pot seems to give a reasonable reading on a meter so I don't think it's that. It's more likely that the fiddling /opening closing the lid jogged something into operation.
Are there any other safety interlocks besidesthe lid switch?

Thanks

ls3020 cutting failure

This machine is about 18 months old and has had light (hobby) use. About a month ago it failed to cut, (though the head moved OK), but after a bit of knob twiddling went back to normal. I wondered then if it was a dirty multiturn pot, as turning it up full seemed to be part of the cure. Since then i...

Re: Questions before buying a LS3020

I can see a lot of experimentation ahead. The reason I was asking about styrene and PETG is that they are the materials I would traditionally have used. As the laser cutting opens up a variety of choices which probably weren't ideal for hand crafting, I see there's a lot to learn. It's going to be f...
