Do you think its worth just formatting the Laptop i have and starting again with a fresh win7 install to see if i can get the USB to work again?

Well that worked Tom. Managed to cut a simple set of designs from a 1Gig USB stick.

At least I have a working machine still and can keep cutting my stuff. You have my gratitude and thanks.

Must be summit up with both my machines and the drives since neither of them detect the EZ-USB device.

The machine does have a USB port.

Can I just put a DFX file on a flash drive or does it need to be some other format?

Is there a way to get a file directly onto the machine via USB and without connecting via my PC or Laptop?

Just wondering if the USB port on the machine is broken or summit.

When I just cut acrylic I leave the protective coating on and just cut through it. If im engraving I just paint (or airbrush for a fine even cost) the acrylic with washing up liquid.
