I managed to fix the issue. I guess I caught the arm on the microswitch when removing materials at some point so it had bent slightly out of shape, so I gave it a tweak back to how it should be and the issue is all gone.
Thanks again for the help.

Re: LS3020 LSCT - Startup issue
Hi Daven, It does look like the arm on the microswitch isn't correctly pressing against the button on the switch. I could do with seeing what shape the arm should be so I can get it back working correctly. I know you probably have a larger machine than mine, but might it use the same switch?. A phot...

LS3020 LSCT - Startup issue
Hi, I have an issue with my LS3020 LSCT when powering the machine on, it doesn't want to reset to the top right but keeps trying to go right and it jumps left to right?. I see a little trigger switch down there, and I wonder if that's the problem?. The machine itself cuts fine when I pick a new datu...

Can resin be engraved?
Hi,
Having a bit of an issue finding out anything about this. Does anyone know if polyurethane casting resin (once poured and cast) can be laser engraved?.
I guess it's more of a case of it giving off potentially nasty gases, as the engraving itself would technically work.
cheers
Sam

Re: Cooling liquid question
I get mine from a local petrol station and it seems ok. If there is no chance of freezing you could add some chlorine (sold for hot tubs etc). I there is a chance of freezing HPC sell an anti freeze. Best Dave Hi Dave, Thanks for responding. No chance of freezing here, so anti freeze won't be neede...

Cooling liquid question
Hi, It's time to go fresh with some cooling for my LS3020. Last time I bought a large 25l container 'PURE DISTILLED DE-IONISED DEMINERALISED WATER' from EBAY, but I could do with getting some locally for speed. Is any 'de-ionised' water ok for cooling?, e.g http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/gar...

Mask for when cutting acrylic
Hi,
Certain Perspex colours tend to give off more pungent fumes, so I wondered if anyone can recommend a mask which they use?. I have extraction outside but would like to not breathe any of the smelly fumes in myself.
cheers

Cool. I'll make sure to do some tests on alternate brands I use.

Re: Power settings on LS 3020 LSCT
Looks ok - I think that menu option defaults back to 100% on start up - the 2nd menu down there is another power setting and that is also normally set too 100% as well. Best Dave Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply. Should the laser still be cutting through 3mm perspex at power 40 when the guide recommen...
