Re: HPC 3060
Thanks Dave. The 3020 has developed a fault and won't fire even after a new tube. We spoke to HPC and they tried to help but we are thinking it's a good excuse to upgrade a bit. We are a long way from them so a callout would be expensive. Good thought about the 60w we'll probably do that. Thank you ...

Re: HPC 3060
Hi Dave
Thanks for the info. The 3020 is using Lasercut 5.3 so we are familiar with the software. It certainly took us a while to get the hang of it. Looks like we will go with the 3060. Thanks

HPC 3060
Hi We have had an HPC 3020 for the last 3 years and had fun using it. We managed to create a (very) small business mostly making items for family and friends. We are thinking about investing in a bigger laser and looking at the 3060. I doubt that our budget will go beyond this one. What do people th...

Re: tube in cold weather
Thank you Dave. It's good to have an expert around. We'll order from HPC in the morning. In the meantime will keep the pump running.
Thank you
Thank you

tube in cold weather
Hi
I have a LS3020 and this is our first experience of having it in very cold weather. We have it outside in a shed and I'm worried about the water freezing in the tube. Is it ok to put anti freeze in the water or is that a bad idea?
Any advice very welcome. Thanks in advance.

Re: LSC3020 Tube failing?
Thanks very much for your help. I'm using 4 mm Oak veneer. You could well be right about the wood as it doesn't look as good as my last batch. The optics have all been cleaned but will check them again.
It's quite a relief that we may be ok with the tube for a bit longer.
Thanks again

LSC3020 Tube failing?
Hi Please can anyone advise? We've had our 3020 since February and are starting to get the hang of it at last. :) Recently though the engraving especially on wood does not seems as good as previously. It is a bit fainter and not as deep. I've tried making the scan gap smaller and it's a bit better b...

Re: Settings for cutting acrylic please
Hi
Thanks very much for the advice. I'm trying all different settings. So far I haven't burnt the place down - fire blanket at the ready though!
Any tips on cutting mirror acrylic?

Re: Settings for cutting acrylic please
Hi Intri Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm having a bit more success with acrylic at last! The engrave is ok and I tried cutting at speed 6 power 40 and it looks better than before but I'm going to try your settings too. Thanks for the tip about isopropanol works a treat! Many thanks for your...
