Pneumatic Arm needs replacing.

The pneumatics on the lid of my LS6040 have given up - where do y'all think is best to look for a replacement? I've tried searching for something on ebay, but my search-fu is weak here, and I can't even work out what to call it...

Any advice would be appreciated!

Re: LS6040 Efficient cutting

Your advice is absolutely golden - thank you! Oddly, this is all to decide a price for an item. We currently sell engraved acrylic tokens, and we price on materials and time - we know that we can get, on average, about £45/hour product from two machines, which works well with our current set up. Rig...

Re: LS6040 Efficient cutting

All excellent tips. Out of curiosity, what speed for shallow and full cutting would you recommend for 3mm MDF. This is relatively constant work (this is my business), so I'd want a speed the machines could maintain without damaging them extensively. We current run ours at speed 20 and power 50 (lase...

LS6040 Efficient cutting

Hey team! I want to speed up the cutting on my LS6040 to make each cut faster. I've got the best speed/power ration on the laser itself - I was simply wondering if there was a way I could organise the cuts themselves to speed it up? It seems to be really inefficient with it's cutting, moving all ove...

LS3020 - dispose or repair?

LS3020 Newly Draw - sat in spare room for 12 months after having laser tube replaced. Just put it all together to see if it works; laser doesn't fire. Everything else seems to be working perfectly. I'm keen to sell it, and had a buyer at £300 - now I'm wondering if it's salvagable or just scrap? Any...

Set a constant zero point?

Hey fellow cutters! I want to set a zero point on my LS6040 - a place where I can send the laser to for the start of particular cuts - is that possible? For greater detail, I'm hoping to etch and cut double-sided tokens (about 10-20mm) on a production scale, so I need to be able to quickly place and...

Double Sided woes! Some Advice needed

Hey guys. I'm trying to engrave double-sided acrylic tokens. The method I use is sound; it's lining up correctly and it looks great. However, whichever side ends up underneath when the tokens get cut gets scored and gunked up with the residue left behind after the first run. Even after clean up (IPA...
