Re: Water not flowing immediately
Thanks for reply. De-ionised and we change it every few months. We don't add anything to it. Is the pump inside the chiller or is it the separate pump that looks like a fish tank pump?

Water not flowing immediately
Any idea why the water doesn't flow immediately when I turn on the laser and chiller. After about 5 mins the water starts flowing and only then will the laser start firing. We have had a problem with a blockage before in this machine but when the water does start flowing it works fine?

Re: Laser Bangs against side
Still doing it. Sometimes if a file is too big for the workbed it will say softspot or something similar on the laser display which is fine you can then go and check the artwork size on laserscript. Othertimes it will motors will try to move the laserhead off the workbed to reach the oversize artwor...

Thanks for post, the range seems correct 600x400. There is an option for auto datum which isn't checked, I may try this. thanks

Re: Engraving outlines?
The method I use is to run a cut on a lower power setting so it just cuts a shallow groove in the surface about 1mm deep, this usually gives better detail than engraving

Laser Bangs against side
Hi, sometimes the laser optic will bang against the end of the rail if a job too large is sent through. Usually a softstop error message appears before which stops this from happening. However, occasionally it will accept a job too large for the bed and this normally results in the laser losing focu...

LEAVE LASER ON/OFF ALL DAY
Hi I'm using the machines on off all day. Is it best to leave them switched on all day or turn them off to rest for an hour at a time. They are probably used 2-3 hours a day 1/2 hour at a time.

Re: LS6040 CLEANING/ALIGNMENT
The machines have been neglected cleaning wise. Think the first mirror is marked. Cleaned the mirrors. Started adjusting the beam alignment and it has gone way out. Watched the video that came with machine but didn't show exactly how to adjust angles of mirrors. Is it just trial and error or is ther...

LS6040 CLEANING/ALIGNMENT
Hi, our machine was working fine, then it wasn't cutting through towards the middle of the sheet, now it doesn't engrave or cut through at all, only cuts a shallow outline. We have levelled the bed as it was a bit loose and wonky. How do you clean the mirrors first before we even think about adjusti...
