Diameter of laser?

Hi, is there a way of making the laser a smaller diameter? I have been cutting 3mm ply recently, and the cut line is very wide. I set the gap from laser to ply as 78mm using the gauge that came with the machine. I have a 3060 with a 60 watt tube.

Hi, I have a 3060, my problem is raising and lowering the bed. I thought when you pressed Z if would start to lower and then after a couple of seconds it would start to go quicker. However after a couple of seconds mine just stopps and then I have to take my finger of the button and start again. to ...

Re: Power settings.

Hi, Many thanks for the reply. To raise it off the bed, I use a plastic honeycomb that I found on line that is used for aquariums. It seems to work well, and it comes at the same size as the laser bed. The sooner I get the laser cut right, the longer it will last and not be cut right through. Thanks...

Power settings.

Hi lovely people. I have been doing trials with 3mm acrylic sheet, and have found that I only need 35% power to cut nicely and that still cuts through the plastic matrix I use underneath it, any more and I get ragged edge underneath. Can this be correct? Also, can you tell me why the laser doesn't f...

Re: Cutting on a LS3060

Hi, Many thanks for that, I looked and it was set to 100.00000. So I have set it to 80.00000 and will try it tomorrow. I am very pleased with myself today, I designed a gauge for my woodturning in Adobe Illustrator and managed to export it and bring it in to Lasercraft. I cut it out in 3mm acrylic a...

Cutting on a LS3060

Hi,
Can anyone help please When cutting out a Square, the laser dwells in the corners and burns a hole. Have I got a setting wrong? I have tried turning the power down, but it won't fire under 20%.
Thanks in advance.
