Why do you ask James ?
All the design and processing I do with other software.
I only use the laser software to talk to the laser .. just to send the cut file.

Re: Power drop
Check the condition of all mirrors and the lens.
there is a small chance there could be a problem with one of them, and they are warming up ?
It's free to check them , so worth a try !

Re: Any other software than Lasercut ?
I think most "upgrade" controller board have similar software
if you don't like it, just use it as a "driver" .. then use your favourite software for designing / laying out

I'll just add, that if you want it to pay well, you have to work hard !
It's just like any other business . it will be more work than a proper job (to make the same money) , but hopefully more enjoyable.

Re: Tube issue
after years of bubble free use, I had my 1st bubble recently .. I was so proud ! lol  it was a big one , at the hot end. Re: Sudden laser fail. Diagnosis?
Hi All, Just to let you know, I successfully diagnoses the problem today. Fortunately, nothing more complex than an airlock in the system, combined with intermittent functioning of the water pump. Lessons learned: (1) If your laser peripherals are supplied with European plugs, chop them off and rep...

Re: Advice please
also check all the wire connections are good and tight
I just lost a lot of power as the HT (red) lead had a bad connection.
it's now crimped up tight and all good again
Make sure the Power has been off for a while before you check !!!!!!

Re: Help Required please - Desperate here :(
I've never been able to figure in my head what difference the tube level makes ?
it could be off by 45 deg and you'd still be able to get a dead strait level beam from mirror X to mirror Y
which is what really matters
EDIT .. as long as you can hit mirror 1 dead center
