Thanks for the reply Dave.
After a bit of tinkering with device manager, all is well.

Windows 10 error with LS3020 LSCT
Hi, I've recently changed the pc I use with my cutter. Previously it was Windows 7, but now I have Windows 10 installed on a new build. I installed Lasercut, then installed the drivers I've had since I purchased the laser this March, but I am getting errors when trying to send files to the machine. ...

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
So the LS3020 LSCT with it's 30w tube should be significantly less. Then you have the pump and fan running etc, but I can't see it being crazy.

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
Hi,
Does anyone know what kind of power consumption an LS3020 LSCT would be using?. I see on the machine it's rated as 400w, so is it essentially the same as e.g running a 400w power supply in a pc?
cheers
Sam

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
Hi,
In Lasercut is there anyway to 'hide' shapes that I currently don't want to cut?
I tried moving them off of the 'bed' area in Lasercut, but it still seems to recognise they are there as the file won't cut.
cheers

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
It took a while but I got there. I had a flashback of a test piece I ran on an incorrect power, and finally it twigged!.

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
I just thought. If I turned down the power, so it doesn't cut all the way through, that would be the effect I desire?

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
So is there no simple way to do something like this in Lasercut:

Just set a line to be engraved as a line?

Re: Sam's LS3020 LSCT Questions
Aha I see.
So there is no direct way to tell Lasercut to just engrave a single line?. I would need to have 2 lines close to each other, and tell them both to engrave like you said?.
