Cutting and engraving settings

Post by bobg »

I use quite a lot of different materials/thicknesses etc., and being 'of a certain age' I find I forget the settings for speed, powere etc., between laser sessions. I started a table of settings in a spreadsheet, but even forgot to update that!

I now save these settings together with the material I've used with the filename as follows....

Awning Brackets My.5 Sp10 Pw10 Gp.075 Sc200

These items are engraved/cut from .5mm thick Mylar at Speed 10, Power 10, Scan Gap .075 and Scan speed of 200.

If I need to alter these then I re-save the file and delete the previous one. This way I know the material and all the settings I found successful last time.
