LS6840 issue lasercut 5.3 the communication is broken for timeout
LS6840 issue lasercut 5.3 the communication is broken for timeout
Iv been talking to Chris about this issue over the weekend but still have to resolved the issue. While im waiting for him to get back to me has anyone here has the same issue.
When i'm trying to send data from Lasercut 5.3 to the machine via USB its just creating an error 'The communication is broken for timeout. Please close and open the output window to retry'.
Iv have since replaced the USB cable and the issue is still happening. Nothing on the control PC has changed. It was working one day and the the next day not working. This is my own hobby machine in my own house so noone else has touched the machine besides me.
EZ-USB is also not showing on the PC anymore and the PC is not detecting hardware when i plug the USB cable in.
In also getting some strange behavior of the system:
The strange this is when the machine is powered off using the key/lock on and off switch the LED display is staying on although it is very dim. If i unplug the USB cable it then goes off. Upon plugging the USB cable back in despite the machine being off the LED display shows the book sequence and then trys to do a datum.
The datum fails as the machine is not powered up. I assume the machine is drawing power from the USB port. I cant remember the machine ever doing this behavior before.
I have found other people having the issue via google search but no one has an actual fix.
Thank you in advance.

this may sound stoopid... but have you tried a different usb port? or even a different PC?
If it is the same on a different PC then it rules out your PC...
Have you checked the status of your USB ports in Hardware manager?
I am no IT guru though.... but I am sure someone who is worthy will be along soon.....

Turn off power saving for the USB port
Please note I am not employed by HPC, any advice or recomendations I give are based on my own experience and are not necessarily the same as HPC's. First point of contact on any hardware issues should be with HPC

Re: LS6840 issue lasercut 5.3 the communication is broken for timeout
Is there a way to get a file directly onto the machine via USB and without connecting via my PC or Laptop?
Just wondering if the USB port on the machine is broken or summit.

Is there a usb port on the side of your machine
You can download to a small flash drive and plug it in
But it sounds like a motherboard issue to me

The machine does have a USB port.
Can I just put a DFX file on a flash drive or does it need to be some other format?

It has to be from lasercut
When you press download and the stand alone manager window opens
It says download file press this and send to flash drive
It has to be a small flash drive
