I am not sure if this was just the problem with my machine (LS6090) but the red dot pointer was not pointing where the laser actually hit. I can live with 0.2 - 0.3mm difference but not hefty 1.8mm. I tried swivelling it around to find the sweet spot with no success.
I ended up making an angle adjustable bracket for the pointer with my other toy, 3d printer.
The original bracket came with my machine is on the right. My mod also comes with a little knot for a focus gauge
My red dot pointer is now pointing at exactly where it should be.
Did anyone else have the same issue? Is there any easier/better way to sort?
If so, I'd love to know.

Nice work
Mine are pretty much spot on unless I knock it when cleaning
Best

Re: Red Dot Pointer Bracket
Thank you, Dave
Sounds like the red dot pointer can match the laser by swivelling in your case.
Maybe my original bracket was manufactured in a slightly wrong angle or the pointer cables were too short to put in the right place.
Just out of interest where is yours positioned? Mine is set around 5 o'clock position looking from the top and then angle adjusted from there.

My 3060's has the bracket at 9 o'clock like the following (nozzle removed)

Re: Red Dot Pointer Bracket
Ah, I see. The cable arrangements, the shape of bracket and the vertical position of it are all different from mine.
