Water not flowing immediately

Post by usw »

Any idea why the water doesn't flow immediately when I turn on the laser and chiller. After about 5 mins the water starts flowing and only then will the laser start firing. We have had a problem with a blockage before in this machine but when the water does start flowing it works fine?

Could be the pump failing - could be the flow sensor blocked.

What water do you use and do you add anything to it?

Thanks for reply. De-ionised and we change it every few months. We don't add anything to it. Is the pump inside the chiller or is it the separate pump that looks like a fish tank pump?

Depends on the chiller - but normally the pump is submersed in the water tank if not incorporated in the chiller.
