advice please

Post by yorkshirewhittlers »

Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me why when I start laserscript I am getting a box which says Laser output top left then temporary file failed! [C:\LaserCut53\\laser.ECP] I click it off and another comes up I click that off then laserscript will come up like normal. But when I try to do things like normal to cut a shape I can't change my settings for my power and speed etc. Help :-)

Try renaming the file [C:\LaserCut53\\laser.ECP] to [C:\LaserCut53\\laser.oldECP]

AFAIK the ecp file is not required so may be confusing the startup process.

Hi Tom
No it's been absolutely fine, and I'm on windows 10, I've just used my machine which is ok as I used one of the files which is already loaded.

On Win 10 press the windows button on the keyboard, click on 'this pc'. Under Devices and drives - double click on OS (C:) (or it may just be C:). Find and double click on a folder called LaserCut53. Find the file called Laser.ECP, right click and rename.

AFAIK is acronym for 'As Far As I Know' - If the file is needed by you or someone else you can re-name it back.
