LS6040-Loss of power.

Post by mickthemagpie »

Having got great advice the last time i had a problem i thought i would give you another go!

My machine cut out in the middle of a job and will not switch on again. This is the first time anything like this has happened so i have no idea what to check. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Cut out as in no power at all? RCD on the back of the machine tripped?

Yes no power at all. Is the RCD button the green one next to the plug? I have tried pressing that in but no effect.

Hi Mick
The RCD is in the cabinet with all the electronis onthe 6040
White with a blue switch on it ( just be careful )
There is a 6amp fastblow fuse in the socket where the mains power gose in

Hi Tom, the RCD switch didnt work. It was pointing up when i checked so i moved it down. Still no power. The fuse you mention is that in the plug or actually on the machine?

Hi Mick - I think you need to call HPC, at least they can tell you what Not to do. If the fuse has blown it may need investigating. Don't go getting electrified ;)

Best
